Botman Hydroponics Growing System
Botman Hydroponics has developed an innovative system for the efficient and sustainable greenhouse-based production of hydroponic crops – from germination/propagation (for example in a vertical farming setup under LED lighting) right through to harvesting.
The seedlings and plants are potted directly into specially engineered injection-molded floating rafts made from food-safe plastics.
These are then floated on a layer of water (25-30 centimeters or 10-12 inches deep) in the greenhouse basin, allowing the plant roots to hang in the water.

Cultivation on the Botman Hydroponics Floating Raft
The Botman Hydroponics Floating Raft is being used at the cultivation phase, and therefore the most important phase of the Botman Hydroponics Deep Water Culture (DWC) system.
The Floating Raft is specially designed for growing leafy crops and herbs hydroponically in a food-safe manner.

Our Floating Raft has a plant density of 22 plants per square meter.
The Floating Rafts can be fully automated due to the design and geometry.
Efficient Use Of Energy
The Floating Raft is heat permeable, growers can use the system to control the temperature around the crops efficiently.
The Floating Raft is made of food safe High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
This high-quality smooth plastic is food safe and easy to clean.
The Floating Rafts are equipped with an unique 2D-matrix code on both ends of the Raft.
The Floating Rafts can be stacked. The ribs in the Rafts provide good support.
Straight Pushing Edge
The Rafts are equipped with a straight pushing edge for optimal stability during transport.
Due to the 3D design of the cone, growing taller crops as large as Romaine or Pak Choi is not a problem for the system.
